- Lobby group DearSA has sent Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma a lawyer‘s letter urging her to allow the public more time to comment.
- The decision to have the scheme established was made by the National Coronavirus Command Council, which approved a recommendation to establish it to protect the rights of citizens who will be vaccinated.
- DearSA requested the period for public comment be extended by no less than three weeks to allow for sufficient and proper public comment.
